MATTHEW McConaughey lives up to the title of his latest film in the newly released trailer for The Beach Bum.
The Oscar winning actor, 48, looks unrecognisable as rebellious stoner Moondog as he flashes his rear in just a thong while stepping out of a Jacuzzi.

His laid-back character is later seen playing the bongos while a python slithers across the drum.
The two-minute trailer for the Harmony Korine written and directed comedy opens with a long-haired Moondog accepting an award for a musical endeavour.
He says while clad in a vibrant Hawaiian shirt and mismatched shorts: “Before I accept whatever award it is they’re giving me today, I want to start off with a little poetic foreplay.
“One day I will swallow up the world and when I do, I hope you all perish violently”, which brings the audience to their feet.

While his character believes he’s succeeding in life, co-star Snoop Dogg reminds him that he “looks like s***” and Jonah Hill’s character Lewis claims, “You have p***ed away your talent on women and booze.”
And Moondog’s decision to enjoy a life void of responsibility or consequences finally catches up on him when he is stood before a judge.
She urges him:”It all stops now, the foolishness. If you mess this up it’s jail time.”
